Sometimes when I blog, I weep

Ahh, at last, Summer is here! The sun! The heat! The long days! God I hope it ends soon.

In the meanwhile I can now take some solace in that I have finished all the gruelling examinations placed before me, six in total, half the number that Greek guy did. What was his name, Her-something....her....her.....Hertle?

In other news, I now have a new Kitten! Oh joy! The little bundle of fluff is full of energy, zipping around the house, savaging plants, batting things around, causing mayhem and chewing through the cord of my headphones. He made a powerful enemy that day...

His name is as of yet undecided, and currently subject to extremely violent argument. I wish to name him Cheshire, after a certain cat from the works of one Lewis Carrol.

Moving to the business fside, the next happening will be upon the 8th of December. Expect a Christmas theme, most likely with present giving in order. Ho ho ho! Oh and sugar. There's always sugar.

Not only that, but I've placed up two new polls for your democratic pleasure. The first is in light of the new bundle of joy I have, and is of the age old question: Kittens or Puppies?

The new one is of my own devising, and came to me some time ago, as I was staring blankly at the idiot box. I now propose to you the conundrum: Which would win in a war, magic or steampunk? This will be a clash of epic scale, pitting Arcane science and technology against fell sorcery, steel against talisman, steam against mysticism and bolt against bullet. For queen and country!

And now, as with all good things, this post must come to an end. Rock on people!

Hola Comrades, this time it's not just me, I have a guest!

Hey guys! :D

That's a good friend of mine and a loyal compatriot, Blackashesintheautumnwind! Well that's one of her blogs at any rate. We have fought side by side in Cuba, Columbia, Laos and dozens of other countries yearning for freedom, and now she's joined me here, as a celebrity guest. There are Duets, and Youtube Videos with them, it's high time blog did as well. What have you been reading lately Black?

First I was reading Little Women. . .

Ohh, classy. Pray continue.

I'm planning to go back to it, but, I really need to stick to one book and finish that! The one I'm currently reading is called Love, Stargirl.

Super. Did you ever get around to reading that copy of Silence of The Lambs I lent you?

You know, Max, I'd love to say that I did get around to reading, it, but we both know that I haven't. :L I will get around to it though! Sooner or later . . .

You'd better! I start getting jumpy when something takes a while getting back to me. Anywhat what's this Stargirl about?

It's about a girl who moves states, and starts writing this realllly long letter to her ex boyfriend, and tells him all about her new life in Pennsylvania, and the new friends she's made, etc.

So it's like Dear John, but in reverse? And with The girl talking about her life instead of the guy?

No, I wouldn't necessarily say that. Dear John is a really soppy love story, and is quite depressing in some parts. Love, Stargirl is so much more uplifting, and it's more about the girl learning to move on from her ex, and about her building new friendships with the townspeople.

And of course it's better than Twilight.

I wouldn't really compare it to Twilight, because it's not in the same category. It's got an extremely different storyline than Twilight. But, overall, I'd say it's much better than Twilight.

Twilight doesn't have a storyline.

It does, just a really basic storyline. Love, Stargirl is much more complex than that.

And you know when the next book-in is right?

If I'm being perfectly honest with you, no I don't. When is it?

If my calculations are correct, it's on the 13th of October. Also, I get the feeling that the annual Hallow's eve bash is coming up. After all, It's just a jump to the left...

And a step to the right!

Ho ho ha. Remember to bring tasty sweet plates of tasty sweet things for mysel-I mean, the group. Yes, the.. Group.

Homemade turkish delight! Nom nom nom.

Now now, carefull. You know what happened to that British kid who ate Turkish delight don't you?

Well it looks like that's about time for us. Remember to come back next time, when I talk to other people maybe!

Nemo

Good news everyone! I'm going to be on TV!

Yes, that's right, no longer will my camera prescence be confined to seedy internet videos you look up late at night, now I shall be in an ad! At long last, I shall be....... a faceless extra in a crowd scene.

In case you have no idea what I'm on about (it's not your fault, sometimes I don't know myself), I am refering to the human animation project. No, we're not all being turned into cartoon characters (my dreams of piloting giant robots, making friends with magically powered schoolgirls and hitting people I don't like over the head with a giant mallet go unfulfilled yet again. Sigh), a whole big bunch of people (including yours truely) instead hold up placards and make funny shapes, which forms up an image. A bit like a human pyramid I suppose...

But what is this for I hear you ask. Surely if we wanted to see that we would just watch a Lady Gaga video? Yes, and they probably have bigger budgets as well, but they aren't nationalistic. You see this human sign thingimawhatsit that I'm part of is supposed to spell out a message for the world cup that's happening. A "welcome to the world", if you will. I still like my idea of a zepplin flyover though...

Remember, only two weeks to go till the next gathering folks. Till next time!

Over the hills and far away...

Behold! On the third day I rise. Or not. At any rate, as Schwarzenegger once said, I'm bahk.

Alas, my poor blog, a glowing page of broken dreams. What started as a golden vision of utopia has sadly fallen into neglect. Until now. Now it is time for season 2 of this blog, with more story arcs, more character developments, a bigger budget, gratuitous nudity...erm, ok maybe not the last one, but maybe some of the others.

When next our hallowed cabal meets it shall be the 8th of September. Be prepared in your brightest tightest spandex or most bizzare hairstyle, for the month of September is a celebration of Comics, Graphic novelia, Manga and all things illustrated and inky. Or you could just bring a plate of something*. That works too.

Alas I have, due to the hectic nature of my academic pursuits and my crippling chronic procrastination, I have been unable to browse a fine printed work. However if anyone is able to obtain or assertain the whereabouts of a copy of the strange and twisted work that is Lolita, I would be much obliged.

That be all for now, but be sure to return next time for more giggles, more action, more mystery and more ranting. And leave a comment too, I always enjoy hearing from my loyal dedicated readers, both of you.

*all plate-things must be either 51% sugar or 51% salt.

Forget about the price tag

Hello again blogees, it's been a while.

Bad news I'm afraid. Thousands of miles away from here, my insufferable bad luck appears to have spread to Japan. The poor country has been ravaged by earthquake, tsunami, and now is in danger of a nuclear disaster. I for one send my sympathies.

On the lighter side of things, the next meeting is on the 14th of april, and has an easter theme. Be sure to take extra insulin to cope with the gratuitous amount of sugar. After that will be a poetry bash on the 12th of may where you can release your inner beatnick. What? You don't know what a beatnick is? Pftsh, young people today; I blame the education system.

And of course there is a new Kakapo challenge: Take a picture of your bookstack, and post it on Suzie's facebook page! Suzie bookgirl. In addition, a cookie will be awarded to whoever can successfully name the song the title is a quote from. Should be easy enough.

As for whateth I hast been readith, it is my script for A Midsummer Night's Dream, where I play a young reckless millionare playboy who runs off to marry his girlfriend. Who says shakespeare didn't have a life?

Well that's all for now comrades, I appologise for the short post. As Che Guevara said,

"Hasta a la Victoria Siempre!"*

*Translation: "Victory forever"

Hello to all once again! As you can see, I, your awesome blog writer, am back, after a crazy wild time celebrating new year's including a mango, 42 cans of coke, Indo-chinese karioke, a young lady named Dolory (I think) and an inflatable penguin. But that's a story for another time.

As you may or may not be aware, we had our first ever January meeting, and aside from a minor hic-up it was legen- wait for it................

....

....

............. DARY! Legendary! No doubt there will be more January antics to come in the future. In the meantime, There is another meeting on the 10th of February. Be prepared to get wet, as well as to wet others.

As for what I've been reading, it is the book I got for Christmas, Vietnam: ground zero. Packe-d full of insanity and whatnot.

And of course there is a new Kakapo challenge. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to bring at least one new member into our cabal. They also have to live in the area.

That's all for now folks, I'd better be off before this place gets flooded or blown away or something.
